About Me

Come Sit With Me

My library has always been one of my favorite places—a sanctuary where the lantern is always lit, and the books invite me into their stories. There, time slows down. Questions become welcome. Silence isn't awkward. And the best conversations are rarely rushed.

Before there were the Sacred Series™ books...before there was The God Players™...before I ever imagined writing about grace, wonder, and sacred conversations...there was simply a woman learning to recognize the Presence of God in ordinary life.

Like many journeys, mine has taken unexpected turns. I've served in the United States Navy. Worked with technology. Helped build businesses. Raised a family. Walked through seasons of deep joy and profound sorrow.

I've celebrated miracles. I've asked difficult questions. I've discovered that God has never been afraid of either. If these years have taught me anything, it is this:

God is often far nearer than we imagine. Sometimes we simply need someone to help us notice.

That has become the quiet calling of my life. Not simply that you leave here knowing more about me, but that somewhere along these conversations you begin to recognize, perhaps more clearly than before, the God who has been walking with you all along.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you will come back often. The lantern is always lit.

The Journey

People sometimes ask how I became a writer.

The truth is...I didn't begin with a desire to write books.

I began with conversations.

Conversations around kitchen tables. Bible retreats. Coffee cups. Living rooms. Hospital waiting rooms.

Again and again, I discovered that beneath nearly every question people asked was another, quieter question:

"What is God really like?"

The deeper I explored that question, the more I discovered a God whose heart had always been fully revealed in Jesus Christ—a God of relentless love, grace, union, and invitation.

Those conversations eventually became articles.

And somewhere along the way...

The God Players™ was born.

Why The God Players™

For many years, I, like others, approached faith as though I was sitting in the stands—watching God work from a distance, hoping one day I might somehow become worthy enough to participate.

Yet the Gospel tells a very different story.

We were never created to be spectators.

We were invited into the very life of God.

The God Players™ exists to help us remember that invitation.

Not through pressure.

Not through performance.

But through conversations that gently help us recognize what has always been true in Christ.

Rooted in union. Alive in grace.

What I Believe

I believe...

Love has always been God's first word.

Grace is stronger than fear.

Union precedes becoming.

Questions are not the opposite of faith.

Wonder is one of God's favorite teachers.

And Jesus perfectly reveals the heart of the Father.

These convictions shape every article, every book, and every conversation you'll find here.

A Few Things I Still Love

Early mornings.

A warm cup of chai.

Old journals filled with handwritten thoughts.

Lantern light.

Ancient trees.

The sound of rain.

Books that ask better questions than they answer.

Long conversations with honest people.

Watching dawn quietly replace the darkness.

And discovering, again and again, that God's Presence is often discovered in the most ordinary moments.

Whether you're carrying hope... grief... curiosity... wonder... or simply a longing for something more...

I'm grateful our paths have crossed.

Rooted in union. Alive in grace.
